• Delta de l'ebre
    • The Delta is the most important humid zone in Catalonia and one of the most important in Western Europe, just behind the regional Park of La Camargue, in France, and the National Park of Donana, in the South of Spain.

A place in which barriers between the Earth and the Sky, land and water, fresh water and salty water, crops and native vegetation, mix up.

    • The Delta has an international interest for birdlife, because it is used as a resting and wintering area; moreover, it is a breeding place for many species. This is the reason why its bird population is especially rich and varied, and about 300 different species have been observed.

Many of the areas of the Delta where declared in 1983 Natural Park in order to protect their ecological interest.
